our recent stay in Coleford was delightful, but our second stay at 20 Market Place exceeded our expectations. The host, Tony, was incredibly welcoming and the flat was comfortable with tasteful decor. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome parcel and the fantastic location in the center of the village.
Clock tower didn't work.

I recently had a delightful stay at a boutique apartment in the heart of a charming West country market town. The decor was absolutely stunning, and I particularly loved the view of the bustling Market Square from my window. The attention to detail was evident throughout the property, making it a truly memorable experience. The owners, Tony, Lucy, and their team, thoughtfully provided a welcome parcel with bread. The location was perfect, with plenty of options for dining out or getting takeaways. I especially appreciated the dishwasher, which meant no washing up. The retro 60s/70s theme of the decor added a fun and unique touch. The bed was cozy and warm, and there were plenty of coat hangers for all my clothes. Tony was incredibly helpful, warm, and friendly, ensuring that my stay was excellent in every way.
One minor drawback I encountered was the high dining table or perhaps the low chairs, as they didn't seem to match well in terms of height. Additionally, the placement of the lamps above the double bed was a bit inconvenient, as I kept accidentally hitting the one near the mirror with my hairbrush.

The apartment was spacious and had a great layout with two bedrooms on the first floor and a living room on the second with a view of the city center. the location was perfect for exploring the area, with attractions like Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves nearby. We also enjoyed the Angus Buchanan Recreation Grounds for a nice afternoon walk. Plus, the fact that the hotel was dog-friendly was a huge plus for us.
If I'm being picky, there were a couple of minor issues with the apartment. One of the windows in the kitchen area was cracked and the toilet seat was loose.

The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave. It was like having our own little home away from home. Plus, the flat-screen TV with cable channels was a nice touch for unwinding after a long day of exploring.
Bathroom on different level.

The apartment was beautifully decorated and had all the necessary facilities. the location was fantastic, overlooking the main square and close to many tourist attractions. We especially enjoyed the welcome pack with milk, eggs, and bread, which was a thoughtful gesture.
The number of stairs, which we didn't realize before, and it was a bit inconvenient, especially at night. Another issue is that the bathroom was on a different level than the bedroom, making it a long way to reach during the night for someone with mobility issues.

We had the best time hiking in the Forest of Dean, the views were insane! And OMG, we even went to Kingsholm Stadium, it was lit! The location of the hotel was perfect for all our adventures, and the staff were super chill and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!
Only thing we wished for was a sick party spot nearby for us young party animals, like a cool club or something. But hey, we still had a blast chilling at the hotel and exploring the area.
